The SKDP Library is open from 7:15 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.

The librarian provides instruction in the proper use of the completely automated center. In addition to the regular materials and services, students have access to information on designated websites. The library has direct access to remote collections such as the New Orleans Public Library and the Louisiana State Library.

Books may be borrowed for a two-week period after which an overdue fine of ten cents per day is assessed. Books which are lost or damaged must be paid for in full. Students may use the library before and after school and during their lunch periods. Students must have a signed passport from their teacher in order to use the library during the school day. Students are not allowed to have food or drinks in the library at any time. Appropriate behavior is required at all times.
